Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions are concerned with the use of the Smeaton Academy online training platform and its content/material. From this point known as “Smeaton Academy”, “us”, “we”.
Any person or organisation accessing or using Smeaton Academy through creating an account is hereinafter known as “the customer” or “you”.
Any person or organisation accessing or using Smeaton Academy by way of using training materials or resources is hereinafter known as “the user”.
All resources and materials made available through the access or use of Smeaton Academy are the property of Smeaton Academy Limited.
Accepting these Terms and Conditions establishes the Contract between Smeaton Academy and you.
The customer agrees not to breach the rights, in any way, relating to the resources made available by and through Smeaton Academy.
You acknowledge and agree that copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the Goods documents and materials associated with the Goods shall remain vested in Us and You will not acquire any title copyright or other proprietary rights in such Goods documentation or materials.
No video or other material made available on or through Smeaton Academy may be downloaded, copied, saved, duplicated, stored, archived, held and or used in any way other than as intended directly for and by Smeaton Academy. To do so is a breach of copyright, for which action will be taken.
The customer understands that material presented in good faith by Smeaton Academy is intended to promote the best-known practice but that it is the responsibility of the customer to make its own judgement as to the use of any material presented.
You acknowledge that Smeaton Academy is a provider of online learning resources and that the customer is responsible for ensuring users are suitably able, supported, supervised or similar, as appropriate, by the customer to use online learning, including computer literacy issues. Smeaton Academy is in no way responsible for any matters arising from this point.
Use of Smeaton Academy training courses (resources) is by having purchased, in advance, credits. One credit means authorised cleared payment for one individual (user) to use one training course and have access to that course for a period of 12 months. You accept that Smeaton Academy is not liable for unauthorised access to, use of or loss of credits.
Smeaton Academy provides no guarantee that the user understands the subject, this is a matter for the customer to assess and manage appropriately.
In accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree to be bound by them. No alterations to these Terms and Conditions operate without the written authority of a Smeaton Academy Limited director. The Contract shall be governed by the Laws of England and subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
